why don't they just give her a scarlet letter?

sigh.

this speaks to so many levels of sexism, dominance, oppression, spiritual fraud and misogyny that it's difficult to even know where to begin.

if she'd committed murder, or stolen from the children's hospital, or abused an elder...ok.

but exercising her right as a grown woman in her bed and her house?

nah. you coulda handled that in the pastor's office.

michael k probably got it right: somebody's mad they got turned down...

I have been to enough churches to know that there have to be several men in that same congregation having affairs...that the pastor must have several "outside" children and women and that this one woman is not the only person there "sinning". Making an example of her is a reminder to ALL WOMEN to stay in their place...I wish continued strength to her and continued good loving from her Boo

exactly. i basically just read/watched with my mouth hanging open...

but i totally respect that she wasn't gonna let that foolishness come between her and her jesus.
